The Woman Behind the Words

My Journey of Becoming

Hi, I’m Jacqueline.

For more than 25 years, I have worked as an educator, helping students explore literature, ideas, identity, and the human experience. Along the way, I discovered that some of life’s most important lessons are not found in a textbook.

They emerge through seasons of change, faith, reflection, healing, growth, and becoming.

Like many women, I have spent years balancing responsibilities, caring for others, pursuing goals, navigating transitions, and trying to understand what it means to live with purpose. Through that journey, I have learned that becoming is not about perfection. It is not about having all the answers or arriving at some final destination.

It is about growing into greater alignment with who God created us to be.

That belief is at the heart of Perfectly Balanced Beauty.

This website began as one thing and gradually evolved into something deeper. Over time, I realized that the topics I was most passionate about were not products. They were the questions that shape our lives.

Questions about identity.

Questions about purpose.

Questions about faith.

Questions about healing.

Questions about the stories we tell ourselves and the stories that help us grow.

As both a teacher and a lifelong learner, I became increasingly fascinated by the connection between literature and life. The same questions that appear in great books often appear in our own journeys:

Who am I beneath the roles I play?

How do I find my voice?

How do I move forward after disappointment?

How do I continue growing through life’s transitions?

How do I become the person God created me to be?

Those questions inspired the content you will find throughout this website.

Through literature, biblical studies, personal reflections, intentional living, and meaningful conversations, my hope is to create a space where women can read with intention, learn with curiosity, grow with purpose, and continue becoming.

Professionally, I hold a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction and have spent 25 years in education, including Advanced Placement coursework, literacy instruction, curriculum development, and participation in the University of Texas OnRamps program. Those experiences have shaped the way I teach, write, and think, but they are only part of the story.

The deeper story is the ongoing journey of becoming.

I do not claim to have everything figured out. I am still learning, still growing, still asking questions, and still seeking God’s wisdom for each new season.

If you have found your way here, I hope this space encourages you to pause, reflect, learn, and grow.

Most of all, I hope it reminds you that becoming is not a destination.

It is a lifelong journey.

Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
